EcoFair celebrates the wonderful people, environmental groups, and eco-businesses that are helping create a greener and healthier planet for all.
It is FREE, family friendly, and fun. Organized by volunteers, it is intended to allow people to share and learn tips on ways to live more sustainably, and be inspired to make a difference as we start a green new decade.
During the 2020 EcoFair enjoy…
- Eco-exhibitor multi-media showcase
- Interactive online workshops
- Exciting webinars
- Inspiring environmental films
- Online fun & games for all ages
- EcoTours – local self-guided neighbourhood tours for walking and cycling
This year’s EcoFair will all happen online over 4 weeks. Each week has a theme:
- Carbon Countdown (Week 1)
- Waste Not (Week 2)
- Active & Healthy (Week 3)
- Eco-economy (Week 4).
You can sign up for any of the twelve free and exciting 1.5 hour events, happening online over four weeks.
An online calendar lists details on the events, including film screenings (like the British documentary “Bicycle”) and webinars hosted by experts (such as ways to dramatically cut home energy waste and shrink monthly bills).
This year’s EcoFair introduces local EcoTours. These self-guided neighbourhood routes are suitable for walking or cycling and showcase greener living in action. More information can be found here.
EcoTours in the west end include the North Junction and Brockton Village and Bloorcourt. The new Bloor West Bikeway Extension makes it easier for people in the west end to get around by bike — a good way to tour and explore some nearby neighbourhoods! Click here for more information on that.
